Robert Desnos

Booklet

Prematurely deceased, deported by the NAZIS because he had worked in the French Resistance, Robert Desnos (1900-1945) is considered to be among the greatest French poets of the twentieth century. He had many talents : journalist, literary critic, cinematographer and discophile. He was a radio broadcaster, an advertising man, writer of scenarios, designer, painter-- One of the pioneers of what is now called the media. Free to do and say whatever he liked, bound by no "school", Robert Desnos could well be considered one the most original creators of his time. To the question : "Why do you write ?", he replied , "To make appointments". And his "appointments" were many. This boxed-set contains a DVD and an eighty-eight page book retracing his live and work (available in an English language version in PDF format on the DVD).
