Very low, light, benefiting from an ultra-short wheelbase, powered by the 2418 cc central rear transverse Dino Ferrari V6 developing 190 HP, the Stratos displayed an exceptional power-to-weight ratio and was to establish itself as the absolute benchmark for cars rallies in the 70s. From 1975 to 1981, it was for Bernard Darniche, the true seven-year period of the state of grace. Thanks to the team set up by André Chardonnet, he won, with his friend and co-driver Alain Mahé at the wheel of the blue Stratos, 41 victories including 4 world titles. Twenty years later, Darniche remembers all his victories at the wheel and invites us to drive this sublime Stratos.
